party.gif was constructed from videos made in collaboration between Solomon Mortimer and Zahra Killeen-Chance from the Movement Studies series.

A video work, which invites audience to participate. Framed by the idea of a social gathering, the work draws from the Internet phenomenon of the ‘GIF’. The work uses endless replication, copying, and modification of images. Four projectors were set up in the space connected to a sound system. The participants then were able to copy the repetitive movements of the performers in the projections in a social setting.
